Über SXM DOET

SXM DOET forms part of the largest volunteer initiative of the Dutch Kingdom, an initiative initiated by the Oranje Fonds in collaboration with the Be The Change Foundation.

The 'DOET' initiative started in the Netherlands in 2004 and later expanded to Bonaire (BON DOET 2011), Aruba (ARUBA DOET 2013), and Curacao (CURA DOET 2014). Due to its great success and the need for such great initiatives, STATIA DOET and SXM DOET will follow suit with their own volunteer programs on Friday, March 10, 2023 and Saturday, March 11, 2023.

The initiative involves all interested NGOs that have a project they need help with. They can register their project on the www.sxmdoet.com website and start to recruit volunteers to help with executing the project. Funding can be requested from the organization to help with executing the project as well. Together, the community and the NGOs create a better and brighter future for Sint Maarten as a whole.
