Help ensure responsible usage and proper maintenance of our space during weekend events. This is an ad-hoc role with a min commitment of 6 months.Detaillierte Beschreibung
Akar Umbi House, where SUKA Society is located, is open for external bookings, with fees supporting SUKA Society's programmes.
Our Weekend Event Space Assistants play an important role in ensuring that those who book our space use it responsibly and maintain it well. This is a compensated, ad-hoc role with a minimum commitment of 6 months.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare the event space
- Assist the event organisers
- Provide technical support
- Maintain safety and security
- Ensure the venue is restored after use
- Brief guests, manage equipment and report on events while adhering to SUKA Society's policies.
Training and support will be provided.

Our focus is primarily on children who are in the most marginalized and vulnerable of circumstances.
We work on four main areas: –
• Creating greater access to education for indigenous children
• Protecting and restoring women and children trafficked survivors
• Providing case management and community placement for children without parental care
• Advocating for alternative to detention for children affected by immigration detention
