Do you have a knack for online fundraising? Want to help a meaningful cause? The Long Covid Toolkit is looking for a volunteer Online Crowdfunding Volunteer to help us raise funds through online campaigns. Your work will make a difference for people dealing with Long Covid by helping us to provide free, helpful resources. We have room for several volunteers that collaboratively manage and promote our crowdfunding campaign.
About Us:
The Long Covid Toolkit is a non-profit initiative founded by epidemiologist Joanneke van der Nagel and project manager Edo Plantinga. Our goal is simple: to offer easy-to-understand, evidence-based resources to help people manage Long Covid symptoms. Many of us, including the founders, have lived experiences with Long Covid, making our work deeply personal and meaningful.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage a community of people that want to share our crowdfunding efforts
- Make and maintain a promo pack so people with Long Covid can easily spread the message
- Convince people to start their own crowdfunder.
- Write clear, engaging content to explain why people should support us
- Create visuals or videos (if you’re into that!) to make the campaign stand out
- Keep in touch with donors and give updates on the campaign’s progress
What We’re Looking For:
- Some experience with online fundraising or social media
- Good writing skills and the ability to connect with people
- A bit of creativity—whether it’s writing, designing, or even video editing
- Passion for helping people with Long Covid (or just a desire to make a difference!)
- Ability to work independently and handle your own schedule
- Good command of English (preferably a native speaker)
What’s in it for you?
- The chance to contribute to a meaningful cause that directly supports people living with Long Covid
- Flexible, remote work environment
- Join a supportive team driven by shared lived experiences
Time Commitment:
Roughly 3-10 hours a week, but we’re flexible based on your schedule and energy level (and yeah, we know how that level can fluctuate).
Interested?
Send us a quick email with your resume and a few lines about yourself to edoplantinga@longcovidtoolkit.org. We'd love to hear from you!
